mmk so i didnt mean to avoid this THAT long but ive been busy helping a buncha missionaries translate/coordinate their excursions throughout the poor districts of Lima, Peru.
so.
ill back things up a bit and start from before i started this blog...
well the reason i wanted to actually start a blog was to
post photos, thoughts, but then God put it on my heart
to share His thoughts, His views, and what others could receive through me.
okokok
so to really back things up ill say that first God put it on
my heart to start doing devotions in the morning. well, not like that.
to wake up and pray early early in the morning
and although i wont go as far as to say im not a morning person,
im not not a morning person either, get it? weeell i prefer not to
wake up early unless im going snowboarding/surfing
ya dig?
mmk now that u all are with me,
i started praying and heres what i started receiving-
As the new wine is found in the cluster,
And one says,
‘Do not destroy it,
For a blessing is in it,’
So will I do for My servants’ sake,
That I may not destroy them all.
I will bring forth descendants from Jacob,
And from Judah an heir of My mountains;
My elect shall inherit it,
And My servants shall dwell there.
Sharon shall be a fold of flocks,
And the Valley of Achor a place for herds to lie down,
For My people who have sought Me.
Isaiah 65:8-10
sweet. so what does THAT mean?
well cool thing is that is EXACTLY the question to ask,
or more specifically,
what does it mean to YOU?
Gods a bit mysterious in ways that we cant really
pinpoint exact meanings for many things
but can mean many things for many people in a
variety of different situations.
so what did i get out of it?
well first off,
it starts as new wine is found in a cluster,
or as the niv version says
"As when juice is still found in a cluster of grapes"
so weve got to be juicy,
not like those sweatpants that say juicy on the butt
but what exactly IS juice? its the substance of the fruit.
the very essence of the fruit.
and how the Bible says you will know them by their fruit,
how much more should we have
the JUICE? u feel me on this one?
its like our gasoline, our kerosene our rocket fuel that keeps us goin.
sometimes we are the blessing in a wicked generation
and its time that we have that juice
that substance, that fruit-
that we can plead on behalf of that wicked generation like moses
interceded for the children of israel when God wanted
to erradicate that generation and start over.
also that when this passage talks about the mountains
and that His servants are dwelling there,
it has a lot more meaning than poetic symmetry.
the point which i got is that when you fight,
you have to stand your ground, period.
when you have refuge you have to use it, and its your protection
when we are in spiritual warfare and are getting attacked
from all sides we have to understand that we sometimes
arent positioned well and have to run back to our shelter and our refuge-
His holy mountain and have to fight from there.
it didnt say that we will stay there temporarily
or will be passing through His mountain,
no.
it said they will DWELL or live there. there we will find rest,
there we can fight with His support
there we will not, cannot, and must not forget He is our fortress,
and leaving His fortitude and going our own way
and not through His will only result in hurt and injuries for us.
we must never forget about the Lord, abandon the Lord.
He never leaves us nor forsakes us.
its us that choose to leave Him when we are enticed
and drawn away by our own desires.
its with this that we stand and fight with His spiritual armor,
and with the humility to know that its only through Him
we stand and we stand as one: the body of Christ with Him
as the head, the peak, and the commander in chief.
and so we march as one on His holy mountain.
